The Story

Carved in Stone follows young archeological photographer Amelia Sloane, who believes that artifacts belong with their cultures, not locked up in some museum. After the death of her mentor on an expedition gone wrong, Amelia inherits his vast collection of relics, including the legendary sword Excalibur, tasking her with returning it to the stone from which it was drawn. But after Amelia trusts the sword into the wrong hands, it becomes a race with the fate of the world at stake.

The web series was filmed with a combination of LED Volume Virtual Production, on-location filming, and fully rendered Unreal Engine 5 CGI imagery. The project was a collaboration with several students and departments at the Savannah College of Art and Design. The series is five episodes and has a runtime of thirty minutes.
